XM Radio is, in the immortal words of Kenny Banya, "the best, Jerry, the best!"

I can't believe I'm paying to listen to the radio. I also can't imagine every being without my XM.

MLB 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year. Weekdays has Mark Patrick and Buck Martinez leading off. Then a show about fantasy baseball (way over my head). Chuck Wilson follows around noon. Rob Dibble and Kevin Kennedy mid afternoon followed by Ronnie "Nightrain" Lane and Joe Castelanno in the evening.

EVERY SINGLE GAME. I repeat, EVERY SINGLE GAME is on. They play the home feed so you get Vin Scully in LA. That's worth the price of admission right there. That guy is in the booth all by himself and he never stops talking. He is full of great relevant stories about the game he's calling.

I've even listened in the off season.

Take my advice, run to the store and buy one of these things.

I haven't even mentioned the dozens of commerical music channels, comedy, talk shows, live feeds of Fox News Channel, 40s, 50s, 60, 70s, 80s, 90s, Country, new rap ****, blues, jazz, oldies, old-time radio. The list is endless.

I bought a Delphi Roady 2 ($100 last year, $28 today) Then I bought a home kit so I can move the receiver from my car to my office and listen non-stop during the day.

I have never had any coverage problems and have driven from IL to FL and back with it. Even driven in downtown Chicago up against tall buildings and still got reception.

Run, don't walk, to the store and get XM tomorrow. You'll be connected and listening in less than an hour.

How's that for a commercial?
I work remotely from my home, about 1 1/2 hours away from my home. I received the XM Radio To Go as a father’s day present. Best thing that I ever received. I listen in the car, bought an extra cradle and listen in my office as well as my apartment. Works well for me and my nomad lifestyle.

I am a classic rock type of guy that is in direct conflict to the targeted demographics of the local radio stations. So I can jam to Stones, BTO, Who etc and don’t have to worry about the life trials exhibited in most country western music.

Only disappointment is that I loose some local programming, mainly local high school and college sports coverage offered by local ESPN affiliate.
XM is the only way to go! Better yet, get the MY-FY portable unit as mentioned above. You can use it in your car,at home or on your belt, plus you can record up to 6 hours and play it back like an Ipod. I dont go anywhere without it. all the baseball games plus college sports from all the big conferences, talk radio, great music with no commercials! Best of All, Opie and Anthoney! shock and awe radio but laugh out loud funny! Way better than Howard Stern. Howard has no talent and he will bury Sirius.
Thanks to everyone's insight, I got the XM. Boy am I hooked! I've been listening to Spring Training games and the Baseball Talk channel 175 is superb. I even heard Mark Patrick mention hsbaseballweb.com to a listener that had a question! He was talking with Billy Ripken about youth baseball and they made a lot of good points. Thanks again for all the advice!
XM has ACC. Sirrus has SEC. I have XM and love it. I hardly listen to local radio anymore. I used to listen to only talk radio, now I find myself listening to more diverse music, comedy and sporting events. I would not want to get on the road for a long trip without it. In fact, I bought a Roadie 2 and take it in the cars don't have XM hard wired in.

Also, on road trips for baseball, my son takes the extra Roadie, plugs it in, puts his headphones on and listens to it. That way we both can listen to what we want to.
