Anyone else incorporating this into their routine? My son has been doing "hot box" yoga for about a month, he says it's the hardest workout he's ever done. I'm sure it will help w/ flexibility but I worry he's burning too many calories and wonder about the heat.
Anyone have any thoughts on this?

They had yoga on Saturdays at Santa Clara in the fall. Also the summer pitching coach made a yoga video for use by the Mariners. My son, who is needing flexibility, found yoga really hard, but helpful.

The girl friend of another ex-major leaguer who coaches in the Northwest was a ballerina in New York City. She thinks that baseball players don't spend enough effort in improving flexibility as they should, hence theyare subject to injuries. She teaches yoga and pilates to baseball players and other athletes.
If I understand correctly, it's an intense Yoga session in a VERY warm room. (not quite sauna hot, but close). I don't really know the reason for the heat.......increased flexibility? Sweating out "toxins"? No idea. Glad to hear others are doing Yoga in some form. I too think it could help prevent injury.
