You don't have to be a baseball star to star in baseball

I came across the following video this morning. Dave Rhode and I once coached preteen rec ball in the same organization. Dave loves the game. I don't believe he played past LL. I don't think his kids played past their preteen years. But his passion for the game burns. I remember when Dave put the first bucket for used equipment in the local grocery store to supply used equipment to nearby inner city kids. Now his organization has huge exposure. They supply baseball equipment all over the world. As he says, "We get paid in smiles."

It's not unusual for college baseball teams to be involved in worthy community causes, and my son's team is no exception. I've passed along your post to him as a suggestion that they consider including Pitch in for Baseball as a recipient from their "19 Ways Campaign."
