How nice does this sound "the last place Yankees" ??

Nice to many of us but not the Emperor George---he is already in the media this afternoon

Kevin Brown the ace ??? are you kidding---they cannot even give him away

By the way the DC/Baltomre fans have a lot to cheer about--two teams in early first place slots--may not last long but it feels good while it lasts

The Yankees have problems and deep problems---start with Brown and Wright--question marks-- then factor in Pavano who has had one solid year in the bigs--then ther eis BP

And who protects my MVP on the team , Posada? You try and name him?

And there is Sweet Bernie in CF--- he is almost as old as me

From where I sit there alot of chinks in the armor and money wont fix them---those days are quickly fading rapidly

I like the Red Sox and their depth---and I am not a Red Sox fan per se -- I just happen to live in their territory
They just are not very good and now they are slumping. When they get hitting, the pitching is bad. When they pitch, like Mussina did yeaterday, the bullpen falters. 57 year old Tom Gordon is scuffling. Mo Rivera is human again.

Giambi and Sheffield are no longer performance enhanced and another year older. Bernie is just plain old.

They are loaded with overpriced jaded bazillionaires who have heard and seen it all before.

I could be wrong but the 2004 ALCS has left a hangover that will take longer than Spring Training to wear off. The rest of the league has seen that they are no longer predator. They are now prey.

The psychological edge is gone. Watch the postgame clubhouse interviews. Not a fun place to be.

They can't trade out of the place they are. The sun is setting on this edition of Yankee dominance.

Okay TR and Dad....won't celebrate yet....but you have me believing the Yankess are not the team they've been hyped up to be.....which is a good thing....cause I work with so many Yankee fans....they really make my life miserable.....they are so anxious to make amends for last season....I think the Yankees must have more fans who never stepped foot in New York....it is amazing.....
Pitching will come around, it's the offense that concerns me. Problem with Yanks in having superstars at every position is these guys don't look or care to play small ball. Situational hitting is
non-existent on this team. They live and die with the long ball. They continue to swing for the fences regardless of count and situation. So much for productive outs... SportsCenteritis I guess.. Yesterday they made Bruce Chen look like Sandy Koufax. If I remember correctly, in winning their last 4 championships they did not have a 30 HR guy on any of those teams.

George is gonna go ballistic soon especially with Pedro, not Randy, being the best pitcher in NY these days.
