Love those hyper personal recruitment emails...

Yep got the same thing
Somewhere out there a volunteer assistant is getting absolutely ripped into by his head coach
We get 2 identical emails for camps (total $$ grab for them)from a school in VA every few weeks. One addressed to my son's actual name and the other to Glenn, which is not really close at all to his real name! Now another VA school has obviously gotten hold of the same list and now we get more to Glenn! We get a ton addressed just o our last name and some say "Prospect and/or parent, which I love! Kind of sad! But, when I want to get a laugh out of my son, I call him Glenn!
My son was received a “personalized” email about how the coach liked the way he played in a showcase. The coach wanted him to attend their camp to see more. He was registered for the showcase. But he didn’t attend.
My son still gets them and he is a freshman in college. I sent a few notes to RC to take him off since I don't think UT would like him attending their prospect camp.

I'm sure the volunteer assistant would beg to differ. Especially at $200 a head
You are right PABaseball. The VA will take the money from anyone who is willing to show up.
Its all about bodies....
My 2021 received an email this week from an "Exclusive Pitching/Catching Camp" on the East Coast, saying that one of their scouts had seen him on the mound and that they were excited about his potential and want to get him in front of D1 coaches.
The thing is, the last time my son pitched was at the age of 11 (5 years ago!), in Little League. Hmmmmm (!)

Same here.
My son got one in his Sr spring from the school he committed to the previous fall. It was a good laugh, and also a reminder that almost every one of these emails is a mass blast to everyone in the database.
