You are right Will.  It was because he had always been told he was great.  He didn't work in the classroom so college was not an option for him.  His father told everyone he was going to be a first rounder and probably should have been on ability but his lack of effort and attitude kept him from it.  I was standing with a few scouts behind home plate before the game and their discussion was if he had done anything with his attitude and behavior preparing for draft.  His meltdown the week before the draft proved he didn't care enough to be better.

He lasted 2 years in pro ball.  Came home and who knows.  Couldn't handle not being entitled.
