Good article in a "non-sports" magazine. Maybe articles in publications like this will wake up some parents that have unlimited resources to throw at the kids future. In many cases that future is not in athletics, but rather the medical field. Frown

If it was possible, it would be interesting to see the college/pro success rate of kid athletes that are "pushed" to compete.
PUSHY parents tend to end up on the Dr Phil show and their kids rebel. Met the Hall of Fame of Pushy Parents at the same time at a HS Tournament. one 1st rounder, one kid rebelled so much against his parents did everything possible to piss off his parents.

Suffers from depression, steriod abuse, cocaine abuse, suspended numberous times for failing the drug tests. 2 broken engagements, one pregancy, 3 Crashed cars, 26 tatooes. Baseball career going no where except maybe to Dr Phil or Oprah.
