Would rather you have announced 12 yr olds who have great change ups and dev good velocity pitching. We had local 12 yr old(big kid for his age) throwing 84. Was talk of town at his age, he's now a Sr, throwing 85. Doesn't always mean they will be successful at higher level.

Developing a pitcher is a marathon not a sprint. Velocity is important but only one part of puzzle IMO.

I wouldn't be impressed with 12yos throwing in the 70s. They are only chronologically twelve. In physical development their bodies may be two or three years older. Actually many of these kids are probably thirteen by now with a 4/30 age break. I guess I would be as impressed as watching 13yos hit homers over a 225 foot fence. What else is on?

Oh... sheeze why  the bloody hell did they show that?  This morning my 15yo is watching sports center and I walk into the room and bam --  there it is.  Guy getting killed on TV.   Effing nice. Especially since one of my kid's friends was killed at a sprint track last year.  Thanks ESPN.

Which they are also doing. Though, they do have a rather tall net fence they also have to clear. However, at that age, one of the complaints concerning LL is that they have such short distances. Why do the same thing with this tourney. Now, most of the homers I've seen in this cleared the fence, the parking lot behind the fence and a few trees, but, still...
