I'm not going to tell you why cause there's rules, ya know but you have to find a TV and watch the end of the Texas/Houston game.

I was not much of a fan of his before, but that expression on his face after his last batter completely won me over. He is a true sportsman, and I will be pulling for him from now on.
Watched the last couple of innings. Wish he woulda got it.
Did it seem to you, beginning on that 3-2 count in the 8th with some extra foul balls, that he started pitching 'not to walk' anyone?
A fair number of pitches right over the middle of the plate I thought after that.
I got to watch most of it. I was also impressed that the Texas hitters hustled enough to have multiple triples last night.

I watched the whole game. He wasn't like that at all early. I think he just got tired and lost his location. That didn't start happening until the last couple of innings when he was over 90 PC.
He's a great kid. Quotes in the paper were things like "I was lucky, I've pitched better before", "my teammates were more disappointed than I am", "a wins a win, complete game didn't matter", and my favorite when Washington came out to pull him after the hit "I can go to the bench now". He's going to be good for a long time.
I tuned in to MLB Network literally just as that single went through Darvish's legs. It reminded me of a game I saw in the Kingdome back in the early to mid-90s, when Randy Johnson lost a no-hitter (I believe it was against the Twins, if memory serves - which it probably doesn't) on a ball that went right through the wickets, too.
I found myself overwhelmingly agreeing with one of the MLB Network talking heads: you've got to not only be really good, but really lucky to get a perfect game. That, and I too thought Yu handled the whole thing with a lot of class and sportsmanship.
Local DFW sports radio guys are bustin' the Fox SW TV announcer's chops for speaking the words perfect game in the 8th inning. The superstitions of baseball are so incredibly cool.

This got me chuckling because apparently nobody follows said rules anymore. I mean MLB network cut is with "Perfect Game Alert" live cut in during the Dodgers/Giants broadcast last night. ESPN had a "Perfect Game Alert" running on it crawl at the bottom of the screen all evening!
There was peace & quiet at my house until that moment...gonna be a long season, hopefully he'll get one before it's over
That wasn't even a fat pitch he gave that hit up with. Up and out cutter and the guy got just enough to drive it back through the box. Well pitched game Yu!
