Don't forget about the Knuckleballin' Charlie Zink who is who plays in the "high" minors in the Boston system. I think the only common thread is all those Zinks had the same mailman who was a RHP with the US Postal team Big Grin

I couldn't resist the opening
I love that Zinking Feeling!

"Zink, using an effective slider and changeup that had Long Beach State batters either lunging at the ball or checking their swings all night, allowed just a fifth-inning single to Robert Perry. He walked two, hit a batter, struck out five and threw just 98 pitches in eight efficient innings."

"We haven't been dominated by anyone like that all year," Dirtbags coach Mike Weathers said, "and with the schedule we played, that's saying something. He mixed three pitches well, came right at us and didn't let up, and we did nothing with him."

Way to go, Ryan!!!

Zink

Notable characteristics

Zink is an extremely effective, bluish-white hot Flame throwing pitcher who tarnishes the batting averages of opposing players and throws baseballs through the air which trail a bright greenish Flame, giving off plumes of zink rawhide.

Applications

* Zink is used to galvanize the Flames to prevent losses.
* Zink is used to pulverize aluminum to prevent runs and base hits.
* Zink is used to being an integral part of the Flames battery.

Zink is the key link to the Flames success!
