I assume the game is at Al Alford Park. Game time is 7. Looks like there were several coin tosses.

I take it that we picked the 1 game playoff? This is gonna be a very tough game. Its a very high pressure game both these teams have proven they can handle pressure. HP has been under the gun ever since their 4th district loss, its been do or die for them the whole run. Teddy, JT and the rest of the Pirates have always done well under pressure. This is gonna be a good one. Better get there early, the stands will be packed for this one for sure. This may be the north's version of the CC Callalen vs CC Moody showdown in an earlier round this year.

Been there, Beast -- with fond memories.

P1 -- CC C vs CC M with 3000 fewer fans. So, you're saying Nowell will pitch for the Pirates?

Poteet is going to be in for it..there is no turf at Al Alford.. or dandylions down the lines

You do realize they have played more games on grass fields this season than on the home turf, right? They are competitive no matter what they play on. Grass, turf, dirt, concrete, asfault or dandilions they come to play.

I don't think we have heard from them all spring/summer.....

Hmmmm...there are league games scheduled Friday night at Al Alford....guess those will get moved.....

Well since that game I don't believe they have made any errors (4 games). Every team has a game like that occasionally. I would expect the Pirate defense will be as sharp as ever Friday.

We had 4 errors on the turf on Saturday. The game before against Corsicana ( on grass at Waxahacie) no errors. Go figure.

The defense at Roughrider wasn't shaky. IT WAS TERRIBLE.

beast, you are a wise man, seeing that you are from Poteet. McKinney's field is one of the top few in the state, and Poteet's is probably 1st or 2nd.... noooot. Jucobaseball was right, the dandelions were a good touch... Who does your gardening out there in Mesquite?... Martha Stewart?

Well we were going to put in Mesquite trees down the line but thought that might be too much.

They are great kids on and off the field. Great role models for the under classmen too. They are always there to encourage the younger guys and help them out. Top notch kids for sure.

I just wanted to say I think this is going to be an awesome game. Instead of talking about the field we will be playing on, Al Alford field is a very nice field, but there is no reason to bash the Poteet teams field.

I cant wait to see Teddy on the mound, and see the crowd that shows up for this one.

Hey IP, one other thing before I go mow the turf and plant some more dandyLIONS. Heard the former Poteet coach is going to hire out his coin flipping services next year, the McKinney coaching staff might want to check into this. Coin Flipping 101.

OH yes!!! THE BEAST....As someone who admired TRAIN.... Starting to warm up to you too.

Were not worried about it. They should have plenty of energy. They get to see a good game between the two best 4A teams in Region 2.

Disclosure: Long time reader, first time poster.

Can someone explain why HP-Poteet is the only Regional Final series in the entire state (regardless of classification) where its a one game series?

Given that Poteet is claiming the multi-flip victories, what are they afraid of?

Just wondering.
