2006 Commitments?

Today, he's focused on playing WWBA 18U, in the aftermath of Hurricane Dennis. I just hope they can get it off...lots of rain, flooding in Atlanta area today!

Correct me if I am wrong, but he will start at TCU in '06. He will not play ball there until the Spring'07 baseball season. All of this is providing he doesn't get drafted. Hopefully he will have a chance to play for pay. Same with baseballmom's son.

Since Raider Power started the thread and asked about Baseball Mom's son (a 2006 HS grad), I assumed HIS question was about 06 High School graduates!

To clarify for those who might be "confused", he has committed to TCU for the 2006-2007 school year.

Natural, none of those three have formally committed yet. Outfielder Matt Sulentic of Hillcrest committed to Texas A&M this past week. Congrats to Matty and his family - great folks.

You bet still quite a few colleges in Texas that havent made a few picks up yet.

I heard that Leverton has changed his 2006 commitment from Arkansas to TTU, joining Kieschnick in Lubbock. The dynamics of college signings are always intriguing.

Congratulations on another Yellowjacket D1 commitment. Arkansas sure does a nice job recruiting Texas.

Joseph Hughes, former star at Plano East ('03) and Grayson, will join his JUCO coach at OU -- congrats, Joe!

VerHagen is at TCU and Graham Martin is now going to Central Arkansas. Also Andrew Cook has just signed with Murray State in Oklahoma. All great players and great young men.

SwDr -- I also heard (isn't the grapevine wonderful?) that another former YJ is changing venues -- Lewis from UTA to UT -- an interesting set of catchers for the Longhorns in '06, eh? Also, I understand DB is back from surgery, ready to contribute in Austin.

Chris Hall SS for Abilene Cooper and the Dallas Mustangs committed to Texas Tech.

Heard the young jackets have a couple of good move ins from out of state that could help with a run at the title for the second year in a row.

Yes DB is well, and will have Lewis and Clark to handle the dish. Could be a game next year where 6 starters from Rockwall/Roundrock semi-final in 2003 are all on the field for UT. Wonder if anything like that has ever come up?

From the regional finals that year...Danks, Nachreiner, and Ridener (Plano East) are pitching in pro ball -- Dykes & Arietta are preparing to pitch at DBU and TCU...Liao just finished his 2nd season at Princeton...Nollen, Hughes, and Emens are transitioning from D1 JUCOs to 4-year programs...and Lenderman is resurrecting his baseball career. A very good Woodlands team also played in the regional semi's in 2003.

what are the name of the new move ins to rockwall and what do they play and also who is left at rockwall for them to have another title run?

Nowalks, Rockwall has a lot of guys coming back and some JV players who will help them compete at a high level for the upcoming 2006 season.

Travis Mosley- Pitcher (committed to Arkansas)

Chad Noble - Catcher (one of the top catchers in the state, great arm)

Josh Beard- Infielder (quality infielder who is getting looks by big D1 schools)

Cade Baxter- Outfielder (all state last year, hit over .500 in district)

Jake Gregory- Pitcher (should be the 2nd or 3rd pitcher)


Collin Elmore, Phillip Clinard, Braxton Adamson, Taylor Stetzer, Ty Lunday, and Jared Butler should all be contributors next year.

I was told Rockwall could repeat again if NOWALKS finds out ITS TIME TO STEP UP...

I hear at the local Barbershop that there is a catcher move-in from Ohio and two 6'+ lefties from the private school ranks that both have a little tiger blood in them. But what does a barber really know anyway?????Right????? Remember folks that JV was 20-1-1

None yet but I'll need another haircut in about 3 weeks. It was two lefties not one.

I wonder how noble will fair with this new catcher, tim meadows (summer coach)has been saying noble batted 500+ this summer. Along with 5 pound weight gain. And how about Phillip Clinard with the new pitching.

Rockwall could have a third catcher going to Texas I hear.I know the kid will be going GLOBAL...

That kid has to spend a year at UT San Antonio before he will be able to transfer into UT Austin. But you're right they will one day soon be having 3 from the rock behind that dish.
