Missionary Baptist are only allowed to coach baseball.
Free Will Baptist can do either.

The question was on Baptists, not Catholics.
Actually, as long as they do not "dance around the basepaths" it is okay.
And no playing on Sundays!! DBU has had to pass on a couple of championship tournament games that were on Sundays.
Thou Shalt Not Win on Sundays -- is that the 11th commandment?
Come over to our side, as long as you go to confession you can play those Sunday games.
I wonder what DBU would do if they made the CWS and had to play a Sunday Final game.
the Baptist would pray earnestly for a rain-out and play on Monday!

Melynda--we would love to have you, I spoke to our priest and have found out that no special dispensation is necessary in order to play baseball on Sunday's.
Just remember us Methodists always have the luxury of being the first in the buffet line.
