Always a better rule to wait for a recruit's official announcement before any posting is made. Doing so before a decision has been made can put both the athlete and the school in an awkward position.

Congratulations to Ryan Shober (SS, Fremd HS), Who verbally committed to Valpraiso University. Valpo has done a tremendous job of recruiting the MSL. Shober is one of the more athletic shortstops who has come through here in a while, classy kid with a love for the game.

I agree with everything Playball2 said. Played with Shobes this fall with Lombard Lightning the kid can play anywhere in the infield, and is also an offensive catalyst with his speed. Solid player, Great attitude. Congrats!

I faced him at the Pitch and Hit event last month. It's going to be nice to have him on my side next year.

Congrats to SIU for signing a certain recruit out of Alabama. Perfect Game has him listed as a catcher/pitcher, but am being told he is coming in as a shortstop. This recruit comes out of the Ohio Warhawk program and has two older well known brothers, one in the Braves organization.
