Does anyone know when summer rosters are released? I know that some teams have been finalized for a while now.
Many teams have already posted their 2012 rosters. Go to their individual web sites, as opposed to the league web site. The software used by some leagues for the league site rosters derives the names from the player info entered into the league score-keeping system, which usually happens right before the first game. The team web sites often post their roster much earlier.
Also, don't forget that the rosters will change quite a bit between now and the start of the season.
Frankly, this feels a bit weird; as it seems like only yesterday that my son was playing summer league ball. However, I've recently learned that he's returning to the Cape this summer; this time as a coach. He's accepted the pitching coach position with the Orleans Firebirds.
I swear, he seems as excited to be going up as a coach as he was when first invited to play up there!

Son will not be playing this summer, will be working on his conditioning.
Son will play for the Myrtle Beach Sand Gnats in the Myrtle Beach Summer League.
