Congratulations to Nick Roth (Benedictine) on his commitment to play his college baseball for Fritz Hamburg and the St Joes Hawks.  Nick is a 2-way talent who distinguished himself with the Cardinals last summer as our steadiest performer on the mound.  Nick culminated his season with a CG 1-hit shutout over the Dallas Stars at LakePoint and then backed it up with a CG shutout in Playoff action for the Cardinals during their march to the USBC National Championship a week later.

A testament to perseverance and determination - Nick has never given up on his goal of becoming a DI performer and it has paid off.  Kudos to Ryan Wheeler and Fritz Hamburg for recognizing that pitchers who get hitters out are valuable to a college program.

He is going to tear up the A-10 and I can't wait to see it.

With private schools soon to conclude their school year and public schools to do likewise in just a few weeks, the Virginia Cardinals would like to congratulate its 12 members of the senior class (2015's) as they start to look forward to their colleges and teams of choice.  We're very proud to say that we have never had a player complete our junior year program without ultimately finding a college roster spot, and this year has been no exception.
