I guess my sweep prediction was off. Congrats on the win! Should be an interesting next day or two in this series.

Nope, you're on your own. Good luck next round.
---Coppell had a good run through district but the team will be remembered by outsiders for under delivering. A life lesson. Someday they'll be better for it, I imagine, but they'll forever wonder how it happened. I'll be watchin for them in the college ranks.[/QUOTE]

Sounds like they were taliking about FM in 2004...I wonder if the Cowboys are rerady to run this coach!

Dear UIL,

Why is it OK to play a game that starts at 12:30am and ends at 3:30am on a Sunday morning and NOT be able to play a game that starts at 12:30PM and ends at 3:30PM on a Sunday afternoon ? I feel certain far more would have been in church this morning if the latter had been done.

FM vs Keller time line: all times are approximate.
12:30am game starts
3:30am game finished
3:50am bus departs
4:50am bus arrives back at school
5:00am players home

There's got to be a better way !!!

En Fuego,
You must not be talking about Flower Mound of 2004, because we went something like 40-4 and lost 6-2 in the State Championship to CC Moody.. Please set the record straight, You must have been talking about 2005.. and btw our Coach left in 2004 to take a spot at the college ranks, not because he got "ran".. He is quite possibly the best coach(Derek Matlock) to ever coach H.S baseball, along with Ryan McCurley.. But my opinion is obvously biased haha.. But just set the record straight please. Thank You!
fmalum04, Please forgive En Fuego, He tends to get his facts confused... He confused my quote about Keller's good defense in game 2 with their poor defensive mistakes in last nights game.

I remember the 04 FM team and it was exceptional! I'm sure you have memories for a life time, fmalum04! Great team!

What's up with the Henderson kid at Flower Mound, heard he did not pitch the entire series. This kids is ranked top 50 prospects by Perfect Game and being recruited by D1 schools all over the country. Is FM that deep in pitching?

IMHO, they have 8 pitchers, each of which can (and probably will) play college ball somewhere. Some have been streaky this year, some have struggled and some have taken advantage of opportunities provided. As with many teen age players, they can be a challenge with regard to consistency and there lies the test.

I was at the Keller game Saturday night/Sunday morning and it was a heartbreaker. Up by one with two outs, two strikes in the top of the seventh and a pop fly straight up and drops between three players not 15 feet in front of home plate.

Dropped flyballs killed Keller in this series, plain and simple. And I'm not saying that the two dropped balls in game one were easy plays, but if you expect to advance in this very tough region, you have to make them. It was apparent from the first pitch that Stafford didn't have his A game, and he needed some help.

Both starting pitchers in game 3 were on top of their games...both impressed not just me but the Allen coaches there scouting the game.

It's Tuesday afternoon, and I'm still not rested up from that night/morning. Too dang old.
