Maryland's Casey Baron holds Clemson to -0- runs on 4 hits thru 8 innings in a 4-3 win for the Terps ..
striking out 7 & walking 1 - he earns no decision Frown

after the pitching change with the Terps up 3 in the 9th Clemson ties it up vs Terps closer,
only to walk the leadoff in the bottom of 9 - sac'd to 2b, doubled home for the win

Bee,

Doesn't Georgia Tech lead the country in parking tickets?

We held an event there a few years ago and a parent parked on the street behind RF fence. His son had a bad day and even sprained his ankle, another player hit a long HR that crashed through his car window and then when he left he saw the parking ticket on his windshield. If memory serves me correctly it was something like a $50 fine.

Talk about having a BAD day!

tho your conclusion is reached from anecdotal evidence Wink that IS a bad day, I got a few dings myself parking by that wall Frown

as recently as few yrs back, event days were fishing days off for the parking enforcement guys..

weekend parking/tailgating was tolerated in the alley, under huge shady trees on the grass, vacant lots & anywhere else there was room, esp hospitable to visitors. guys ran power cords from classroom windows for satelite TV in RV or pickup .. grills were going all weekend

odd that the good ol days are only 4 yrs ago

ps - at Maryland beside the parking ticket, your guy would have been cited for littering (the broken glass), having an unlocked vehicle & been accessed another fee to sweep up the glass Smile, cited for loitering if on crutches or limping ... then ticketed again as he drove off for unsafe vehicle Eek

during our last conversation I told UM to put mine on Bear's tab & haven't heard from them for a while (unless that plain car that's been following me has MD plates Cool Eek)

it's worth a try

ps- btw Tech issues not "citations" .. but "suggestions" as they are forbidden from using the Ga BMV or any other State database to track plates (ya didn't hear it from me tho)

Can't resist a reply.

For many years I held season tickets for UMD football and basketball. Loved it and enjoyed the games immensely. But, everytime I and my co-fan entered the parking lots at College Park, we noticed the tow trucks all lined up neatly (like vultures on a dead tree) awaiting the unsuspecting fans who didn't park in exactly the designated spots. We said to ourselves, nice way to draw paying crowds to your sports events!! Kick 'em in the wallet and invite 'em back next year.

Now, I still admire UMD sports although my season tickets are long gone, but one day the school is gonna have to ease up just a bit on the zealous gotcha mentality for sports event parking.

Plus, they didn't even recruit my kid for baseball!!
