Having come of age in the late 70's midwest, when soooooo many great bands were sprouting up everywhere, you just had to love these guys. I would choose this: HEAD EAST - Never Been Any Reason
Softball season starts on Monday here at COB Adder / Tallil. Last season one of the Army teams had an IPOD connected to a PA speaker. They were kidding around and had walk-up songs. I figured if I had been on that team, mine would have been the theme from Jurassic Park.
I think, perhaps, it would be In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida, BABY!---I mean, who DOESN'T get a sense of adventure when you hear the opening phrases of that song? And, really, that's what you'd get when I would walk up to the plate!--Let's see, will she HIT it? Or would SHE get hit? Or strike out?
I wish I were an Oscar Mayer Weiner That is what I truly wish to be cause if i were a oscar mayer weiner everyone would be in love oh everyone would be in love everyone would be in love with me....
I like great guitar riffs, and the best ones are from AC/DC...
TNT - AC/DC Back In Black - AC/DC Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap - AC/DC Highway to Hell - AC/DC Hells Bells - AC/DC You Shook Me All Night Long - AC/DC
Mr. Edward Van Halen has put out a few catchy jingles as well...
Ain't Talkin' 'bout Love - Van Halen Everybody Wants Some!! - Van Halen Unchained - Van Halen Mean Street - Van Halen Panama - Van Halen You Really Got Me - Van Halen
Honorable mention:
Welcome To The Jungle - Guns N' Roses Tom Sawyer - Rush All Right Now - Free Barracuda - Heart Rock and Roll All Night - KISS Should I Stay Or Should I Go - The Clash Bad To The Bone - George Thorogood Iron Man - Black Sabbath You Got Another Thing Comin' - Judas Priest Rock You Like A Hurricane - Scorpions I Love Rock 'n' Roll - Joan Jett & The Blackhearts Walk This Way - Aerosmith
Think about this---this is a virtual world we know not too much about the posters but when we post our music likes it begins to tell a little bit about them
Too cool of a selection. One of my all time favorites.
Alot of big name bands in the late '70s refused to tour with The Outlaws in fear of getting blown off the stage. After my playing days were over, I promoted concerts (got to grow my hair out) for the university but could never work out a tour date with the band.
Love the classic rock choices, but considering my bad back, knees, and failing eyesight I might have go with Roy, Archie, and the Hee-Haw gang singing "Gloom, Depair"
Great list-----love the Ted Nugent reference---I saw him in concert last summer----what a HOOT!!!! High energy, great music, great stories. Love CAT SCRATCH FEVER . I think when I get tired of In-A-Gadda_Da-Vida, I'll use that one.
Anyone remember these one-hit wonders? This is some solid riffin'. First heard this in '80 when I was working a college summer in Georgia, and they were having such a heatwave, chickens were dropping dead all over the state.
No connection to baseball at all -- just begins hard, with energy, and has just the right length of opening stanza before the PA guys would cut it off.
