Just saw where Cameron Rupp will be one of the 4 hitters in the Home Run Contest today at AFLAC. Congrats and GOOD LUCK to him......

I saw where Blake Beavan was one of the pitchers that hit 96 on the gun....impressive.

Did anyone see Robert Stock hit that bomb over the 410' sign in centerfield? This kid is amazing.

Yes, Rupp won with 7! They showed a small segment of the HR derby. CONGRATS to RUPP on this job well done!
quote:I was glad to be able to see Robert Stock for the first time --- he is legendary as a 16 year old! Robert's brother was a member of the Trombly Cubs in McKinney last week.

OP, it wasn't Stock that gave up the GWH -- according to the MMWS box, Kevin Chambers got the blown save.

Post was not intended to sir up anything...just IMO. I would hit the books!

I've seen a lot of of stellar athletes play in these parts over the last dozen years and I have to say that Joe Leftridge may be the best defensive outfielder of the lot. Certainly the best OF that I've ever been associated with.quote:Originally posted by Train:
Easy KD. I never said the kid was bad...did I?? We shut him down.
IMO....I do not believe he is in my top 30. He can run though....but so can many kids. Just IMO.
quote:The comment about Joe being shut down by Train's favorite team has no merit and speaks to his inability to post rationally. DBAT 18 played his team four times this summer and came out ahead in three. Joe did very well for us in those games and I recall one particular 5-2 win in the Regional Qualifier in which Joe had all 5 rbis including a game-winning grand slam.
