What a very strange name for a conference. Maybe a more appropriate name should have been the "leftovers." No natural rivalries, and lots of additional travel expenses. I am sure lots of these teams are already out there looking for greener pastures.
Yes indeed. As an alum of Cincinnati...there is no one I know who doesn't want the he!! out of that conference ASAP.
To bring it back to baseball...they have a beautiful facility. One of the best. PG once held its National Showcase there. Anyways, Cincinnati recently fully funded their baseball (and other Olympic sports) programs scholarship-wise and yesterday removed their coach. I'm certain they are trying to show a wider commitment to all sports to help them get to a better conference.
Might be a place worth looking at for Midwestern and Northern baseball players...could be on the rise shortly.
