i don't like talking about this stuff, but i'm going to.

my son was released this spring. he threw for a few team's before he left fla. had a chance to play in germany. some calls from independant teams in the midwest. i guess nothing felt right to him, but he wasn't ready to give up, yet.

he ended up playing indy ball in the can-am league. (indy ball makes the milb paycheck look like the lotto.) but it was only 70 miles from home. he and his fiance live a town over from us. so it worked for him. good bunch of guy's, fun wayching him play again.

well, last night he also became the proud father of a baby girl. Madison. 8.4 20.5 inches. i found myself watching him holding his newborn, thinking how cool this was for them (and a ton of other sappy things.) now i know why the new team fit so well.

baseball......a big business disquised as a little boys dream.

I'm just getting caught up on reading some past threads and I stumbled across this one. If I had waited too much longer 20dad's granddaughter could have picked me up on her way to softball practice up and then dropped me off at Walgreens© so I could get all of my prescriptions filled!

Congratulations to you and your expanding family 20dad. It's nice to read that everyone has their priorities in proper order.
