My son has switched to a hockey equipment bag. He is a catcher and it holds all of his equipment and still has plenty of room. It is manufactured by Reebok and its dimensions are 40x18x16. It has a telescoping handle that slides into the back of the bag, when it is down it is not noticable. It has wide wheels and doesn't tip over or drag on the bottom of the bag. It seems to be holding up better than any of the baseball equipment bags that we have purchased in the past. The cost was reasonable, here is the D/FW area the cost was $50.00.
My son carries 3 metal and 1 wood. He also carries 2 fielding gloves and 2 catchers mitts. He believes in being prepared, you never know when a teammate may need to borrow something. Even with all that equipment there is plenty of room left.

The only draw back to Hockey bags is that there is not a separate compartment for the bats. They fit in with everything else.
