Ok, first of all MN Mom, how did your son do over the weekend? Hope you didn't freeze to death. Now I can finally be a proud mom. In the last four days we have had three rain outs. Had to do damage control yesterday. Hard for a pitcher to get up for a game and have it cancelled that many days. I hear he will learn how to wait until the uniform comes on to mentally prepare. Pitched 7 innings in first game of the year. Because all of our nonleague games were rained out we jumped right into league and won 2-1. He struck out 13 in 7 innings, got clocked at 89 MPH in 50 degree weather and hit a triple. Guess what, I even sat in the stands with the real folks. I am so proud of myself. Thank you all for being there and understanding. dazeda
LHPitcher,

That sounds wonderful, congrats to your son! And congrats to you for sitting in the stands with the real folks! Big Grin rotlaugh

Unfortunately my son's team went 1-3 over the weekend. Saturday games were cold (upper 30s to 40) but sunny, so still very pleasant to watch. Sunday games were colder with no sun and more wind, brrr-r-r-r-r!

My son only got in for 1 inning of relief on Saturday, struck out 2. More games scheduled for this coming weekend in Iowa, but they had some snow Monday so they are still waiting to hear whether they can play.
