LOL. No. If he was inside the fielders when he got hit, dead ball, and the batter gets first base, and the runners get one base. If he was outside fielders, it's a "play on" situation.

 

Either way, there are no do-overs in baseball that I can think of.

+1!  As JCG posted, if the umpires are inside the fielders, dead ball, runners get one base and batter goes to 1st.  If outside, play the ball as it bounces.

 

Had this almost exact play happen during one of my son's Legion games last summer.  Runners on 1st and 2nd, one out.  Batter hits a hard hit grounder that hits the umpire (who was back and towards the 1B side from the pitcher).  It would have been a routine double play as it was heading right towards the second baseman.  Our opponent ended up scoring on a subsequent hit in the inning.

Not exactly. it is a dead ball and the batter gets first. However, all other runners return unless forced. Should have been bases loaded.
