Big Hurt - which teams do you think should be good to very good to great this upcoming season?
quote:TBH, Don't let these cynics scare you off. However, you probably won't get any legit comments, as these types of threads begin to become more of a my school's better than your school tone.
quote:That's why Rockwall - Heath was mentioned along w/ SL Carroll and Coppell
quote:I don't follow the comment. Are you saying Heath was mentioned because it's someone's school, but they won't really be good? If you think that, I'll take some of that action...how much are we betting?

Man, this thread getting stirred up and hornsr1 can't say a word due to getting his privileges revoked. I'm sure he's dieing to get his 2 cents worth in.

That is funny... Didn't know about Horns1... Ok so since he's not here...
Plano West will win state. They have at least 12 D1 prospects and they can only beat themselves.
How's that???

Depends if the coin flips go their way

I expect Nolan and Liberty to be the teams to beat and both be very strong in 5a. Liberty has 2 D1 signees on the mound so they should be tough to beat. In 4a, I'm sure FW Christian will be strong again and Faith Christian was very young last year and brings almost everyone back...I'm sure they will be good. Kiddo's in good shape...no issues, 100%. Thanks for asking.

I had no idea this place was so sensitive nor did I mean to be a firestarter. Just curious which teams took heavy losses and which teams have young talent on the way up.
Yeah, you could wait for the first scrimmages or games but how much fun is that?

The Big Hurt,
Don't let these guys keep you from wanting to actually talk about High School Baseball. Most of this site has been taken over by the 18000 posts on Select Team tryouts and the 25000 bumps that follow.
Please continue talking HS baseball.

T.B.H. - This smack-down happens every year. We need to make up an award for it.
Pretty soon (I'm predicting mid-January or so), some poor new guy is going to make the mistake of wanting to bring up this year's Freshman. Then, we're all going have to step away from the industrious T-ball jokes and Glove-lacing posts so that we can make the Newb feel humiliated for totally wasting our time. Then we'll end up talking about the 2014's anyway.
Off to go bump a tryout now...

Hey guys, just curious as to what freshmen you think will make an impact on their varsity teams in 2011. I have "heard" there are quite a few freshmen who will be starting on Varsity. Especially at HP, Coppell, FM, and Heath. I heard HP has two "frosh" who are throwing mid-90's. I'm just saying. I also think most of those will be starting this fall on Friday nights as Sophomores. Well that's what their parents are saying anyway. Hornsr1 told me that Plano West has about 15 freshmen capable of playing varsity and that the school has actually petitioned UIL to field two complete varsity teams in the spring. That's what I'm hearing...

... Yes this is a biased opinion since I am related to a player but I wanna be the first person to get on the bandwagon for this run.
