I have nothing against legal drugs being used to help in the healing process...

I am not for the use of illegal drugs as a self-prescription to assuage physical or emotional maladies. The consequences of that activity is to devestating.

But Bonds was neither self-prescribing nor knowingly ingesting illegal drugs. The MLB must deal with the petard of its own making. Don't try to throw Bonds onto it just because he is the most visible and convenient scapegoat.

People always attack the guy that achieves the most success...and yet we are a society that reveres success. What some don't like in our system is success allows some to make millions$$$, while others who think of themselves smarter and more worthy, only make a stipend in comparison...let me take out my violin.
PIC,

You risk credibility when you say, “But Bonds was neither self-prescribing nor knowingly ingesting illegal drugs”.

How do you know this?

You don’t because you can’t.

I have already said that I do not know for sure although I have my suspicion.

My point is that Bonds could have been more aggressive proving it wrong if he wanted to but chose not too.

My beef is with MLB and the players union for not doing more to protect the health of the players and the integrity of the game.

Where’s the outrage from the fans? Does anyone demand accountability?

From what I understand, MLB has become aggressive at penalizing illegal drug use at the minor league level and it’s working.

Why don’t they have the same attitude at the MLB level? There are reasons and they're probably not as pure as they might want us to believe.

You may still have to hit the ball, but dozens of extra pounds of muscle sure helps propel it further (like giving barry nearly 30 more in one season than he had ever had before clap).

...and he IS guilty. He took 'em. He just now swears he didn't know what he was taking laugh.

His aunt has acknowledged it, but swears he was "secretly doped" by his trainer.

He testified at a grand jury. Do you think they just make that testimony up. barry's lawyer's defense is now one of form over substance. He argues about the testimony being leaked, not that it isn't true.

Bonds is a disgrace.

Freakshow= MONEY. Bring on the clowns!!
Given the evidence I have heard, which is certianly not in a legal context, I would have no problem finding Barry and the rest of the cheaters guilty. Would the evidence be admissable in court? Don't know.
In the court of public opinion baseball is in trouble, and Barry and the rest of the juicers unredeemable.
I think I'll stick to HS baseball and let the frauds dance with the devil.

I think some people just do not want to believe it. I think it would have been an outrage if it hadn't been suspected for so long now. Now it's just a Tsk, and a hangin head shake.

Do you think maybe the chisled features of Julio Franco might come into question? How about the massive shoulders of Rueben Sierra? And truthfully those guys might really be in their 50s! Who really knows. noidea
