Now that football is out of the way pitchers and catchers cannot report soon enough, throw in college ball and hs preseason this week and I'm ready to go. I like football but baseball just means so much more to me. Cannot wait

I hear ya. My wife are looking forward to our son's first game this Saturday. He's in his 2nd year at a DII JuCo. It's an away game that is actually closer than traveling to see a home game. His college is 4.5 hours away while the 1st game this season is only 3 hours. Can't wait.
You got it, Bring it on. my son is a JR. in HS and his 1st game is this coming weekend in a preseason tournament. READY TO WATCH SOME BASEBALL..
I went to 2 local juco games this past week. So glad the weather has been nice. Get to see po jr next week and the start of a 54 game season. Not sure how many I can get to, but shooting for half.
Play ball!
I'm going to be going a little nutty soon due to seasonal overlap. My frosh is on his HS varsity basketball team (riding pine mostly), and there's a one-week overlap as baseball tryouts begin during the last week of hoops season. That's fine, but the basketball team is playing really well right now and is likely to go on a run in the postseason tournament. So the baseball team will be playing scrimmages before my kid ever puts on his cleats. It may be hard to catch up! And it will probably mean he plays JV, when otherwise I think he had a pretty good shot at Varsity. But that's probably for the best. He needs to play, not sit.
Play time is what's important at his age. If he is good enough to have a shot at varity as freshman, he will get a lotmore time on jv. Good luck on the season!
