This new proposal does nothing to keep the non-professionals (kids) away from steroids. Isn't that the real intent behind the Congressional hearings?
Many kids will still take them in their hopes of making it someday regardless of what policy exists at upper levels.
McCain & Bunning should spend their time weeding out some of the criminals in our govt. and looking for ways to trim our multi-trillion dollar debt.
If they could divert some of the money that is currently being stolen by todays reckless spending Congress from our children & unborn grandchildren and use some of it for drug testing/education at the lower levels they'd be doing a much better service to country.

How about this for a "Bill".
You get caught with illegal drugs in your system - and you are gone. Period.
Hire a lawyer - fight it in court for 10 years - maybe you even win with a really oily smart lawyer - but either way - your career is history.
That is a real "Bill". IMO.
And add a kicker - for every guy caught - Fehr gets 100 lashes.
