PG Staff.... Thank you for your reply and explanation of the challanges that PG incurs in putting on tournaments at this level. Even more so I appreciate your time in listening to the concerns raised and attempting to evaluate what PG can do to improve...
One suggestion.......Somehow seed the teams that perform well the year before in an event and give them the prime time and location...I think it would add even more incentive for the teams to play well.
Also congraulations on the new venue...
JUST MAKE SURE THE SCOREBOARDS WORK

Referring to the above, I'm not sure if that could work effectively. I just checked this year's 16U team roster that Keewartson played on as a 15U last year at East Cobb. He and many others changed teams apparently since only ONE player remained on that team.
JayHook,
I'm new to the HS Baseball Web and your post was the first on I read. Myself, a MLB former teammate of mine and two other businessmen. Purchased a complex in Virginia 6 months ago. The eVirginia Sports Complex. One of the reasons for us purchasing the complex was exactly what you mentioned in your post...can't PG do it better? They don't have to but we have to. We are hosting events this fall (team and individual) but have bigger plans for next spring, summer and fall. Since this is my first run at this website I assume you can send me an email and I reply providing you with more information about myself, the complex and our showcase plans

Schaefer not sure if you are the same complex but you might want to check out the VA forum some good input from the members of this board to those owners on "how to do it better"

Good Luck
I live in the state of Texas. I personally have come to the conclusion that teams in and around the major cities such as Dallas/Fortworth, Houston, Austin and probably San Antonio don't need to travel ouside of the state to play anyone because there is enough talent in this state and enough colleges to play ball at the next level for those that have the skills to compete. If you are a Texas kid and you want to be seen outside of the South west and play for schools outside this area than East Cobb and Jupiter is the place to go I do believe that the PG major tournaments at East Cobb and the tournament in Jupiter are worth the expense to play in those tournaments even for those Texass teams who have the desire to travel outside of the state
The 17U tournament was one of the best tournaments that my son played in. If we would have had the money I would have loved for him to have played at Jupiter. Just could not afford to send him there at the time. Jerry puts on a great tournament and he is an honorable man.

For those teams from non rich baseball states it is an excellent venue to test the skill level of your players and be seen by alot of scouts.
