I heard a rumor over the weekend about Waxahachie. Has anyone heard that a couple of big sophomores there might be trading in Green for Blue and headed up 287 a few miles?

Yeah heard one of them is going to the Panthers. His dad got a job there. But since the coach is gone it might change.

Seems Richland is looking too after the coach got fired a day or so before the season started and the Head Coaching job was filled by the semi-retired previous head coach. I think it would be a great opportunity for a coach to come in and compete in a very strong district with CHHS, SLC, Keller, Keller Central, Haltom, Grapevine, and Northwest. There is talent at Richland but no one to bring it out. The kids all played in pretty much the same PONY and Select leagues as the boys from the mentioned schools above before they got to high school.

The Waxahachie coach is going to Keller to coach football.

Are we talking about former CHHS varsity baseball coach Webb going to Keller? He left CHHS two years ago....If it is so Good Luck to him and his family.

Yes, Matt Webb. He left Colleyville Heritage for Waxa and is now going to Keller.

It is my understanding that Webb will be an assistant at Keller. There must be more to this story.

Webb want to be an AD, so, he is going to Keller to coach football, as a stepping stone to an AD spot.

Well, if that was his goal, then the baseball path was a mistake. We all know where the AD's come from in Texas.

If we do rumors on this site, then I can interject on the coaching/ad positions in Keller and Colleyville. But, I have NO factual information, just the rumor mill.

JV Coach Chuck Wells supposedly took the Head Coaching slot at Richland. - again its a rumor.

Coach Wells is currently JV/V coach at Keller High he is respected and liked by both players and parents. My son says he is very knowledgeable of the game. My son spoke to him today. I guess it's official.
Our loss is Richland's gain. Wish him nothing but success.

Not that anyone cares too much, but Garland High has a new varsity head coach, Nick Siratt, who previously was the head coach at Irving MacArthur.
