Got an interesting phone call today. He left a message that he wondered if my son had signed a LOI yet as he helps HS players get into college.
I was skeptical as I've learned from some fine people on this site to beware the Advisor who promises to get you into school or into a certain round of the draft.
I had my son call him back as a courtesy. Turns out, he has contacts with colleges who need to fill certain positions. He then tries to coordinate that school with a HS player who fits the spot and hasn't signed yet.
I'm not saying there's anything wrong with this, I just thought it was kind of interesting. I do wonder what's in it for him though.
