Well, it finally happened. Son got an offer and committed to play D1 today. We visited Tuesday, had a great time and the coach told him he wanted to come see him one more time before making an offer. He came to watch yesterday....son went 2-3 with a 2B, 3B, 4 rbi's and also struck out 2 of the 3 kids he faced...and hit 87. Coach emailed last night and said "call tomorrow to talk about your future". He called today....got an offer and told him he was in. Great day for us.....can't tell you how relieved my son (and me) were to get this done....thought it would never happen. Good luck to everyone else still in the "process"....and thanks to everyone for answering questions, etc on here the past year or two.

Buckeye, congrats to you and your son. Not to steal any of your thunder, but my 2015 also verballed to his "dream" school on Tuesday afternoon. I completely understand the "relieved" comment. I feel exactly the same way. It was a long, stressful ride for us as well, but so many on this site have helped GREATLY. The lessons and advice given on this site are truly priceless. Again, congrats to your family and enjoy the ride.
Congrats to both players, great accomplishment.
Congratulations! Fantastic job!
Excellent news Buckeye 2015 + younggun. May they both have long + distinguished careers getting to do what they love!
I remember how that was and how exciting it is! Congrats to the both of you. Take a picture of your sons now and then again in 4yrs and stand amazed at the man he becomes during that time!
Good luck to the both of you!
YGD
Congratulations!!
Buckeye 2015,
Great news, congratulations.
Thank you....his performance at the 17WWBA is pretty much what ended up sealing the deal for him. He had good performances against some good teams down there. Even though the RC that signed him wasn't in GA, he knew what it meant to put on a good show against that kind of competition.
Very nice Buckeye 2015 - congrats to your son and family. If you don't mind, it would be nice to know which school he committed to.

Buckeye, the same thing happened with my son. He pitched ONE inning in the 18U WWBA that opened a LOT of doors then had a great outing at the 17UWWBA a few days later. I will be forever grateful to PerfectGame. Son had to have the talent and deliver the goods, but PG gave him the stage and opportunity to do it!!

I wasn't sure if posting the school was the "proper" thing to do....lol, but in another thread everyone did so it must be ok right He'll be playing at Bowling Green State University...it's less than an hour from home...and the other MAC schools are all within 2.5 to 3 hours so we'll get to see a lot of game without having to spend a ridiculous amount of time and money to get there. They were the last school that contacted him...but it just seemed like the right fit from the first time he talked to them. He's excited...I'm sure this next year is going to seem like it takes forever...because I know he is already itching to get there
That is great news Buckeye 2015! Congrats to you and your family.
Great stuff Buckeye! Congratulations to your son and family and to YoungGun and family as well!
Fantastic news! Congratulations and best wishes to both players!
Fantastic congrats to both buckeye and young gun son's. Mine is a year ahead (entering his freshman year of college in a couple of weeks), so hopefully I will be able to share the experiences he is having with you all to see what to expect. I say hopefully because he isn't always forthcoming about that stuff with me
awesome, will he be a two way player? sounds like he is a good hitter and pitcher.
Congratulations!!!!

That is awesome! My brother graduated from Bowling Green and really liked it there. Orel Hersheiser (sp) of course played at BG. Good stuff.
