****! Baylor couldn't hang on, Cal won with a walk off 2 rbi single. They are both #3 seeds, could it happen that DBU could host a Super Regional???? That would be AWESOME!!!!! DBU has a much better record than Cal so it could happen!

Final RPI rankings have DBU one spot ahead of Cal. Things just got really interesting on where the super regional will be this weekend.

My son hung up the cleats at DBU last May, but is still absolutely thrilled to be associated with the program and to know so many guys out there on the field. What a thrilling time for the Dallas Baptist program!

If anyone is being recruited by DBU now or in the future, give serious consideration. You could not ask for better coaches to not only help you develop as a player, but as a person as well. The coaches still text my son and email me and my husband to see how he is doing. They genuinely care about every one of their players. The character they exhibit is extremely rare in college baseball circles. Don't miss out on the chance to play for them.

Patriots Clench First-Ever NCAA Super Regional Berth

Not much of a neutral site if you ask me.

Are super regionals typically played at neutral sites?

Super Regionals are hosted by the higher seeded team. DBU has a higher RPI than Cal. Neither team has a facility suited to host, so the NCAA is putting them at Santa Clara, which is across the Bay from Cal. I would think a neutral sight would be Vegas, BYU, or Utah.

But, it's an NCAA tournament, so baseball is not the key component.

Money is the key component.

So, from an attendance and money point of view, (the NCAA point of view) it's better to have the games hosted by one of the teams instead of making both sets of fans travel.

I agree, so why not play it at QT park in GP, or at TCU since DBU is the higher seed. Wait, I'm trying to put logic and the NCAA in the same thought. What was I thinking?

Right, FD, but I'm betting that they think the attendance will be better in CA, since Berkley is a larger school.

I wished it was going to be here, though, since Haney, Stafford, Wilson, and Collins are my younger sons former teamates.

Heck, they went 0-4 against UTA. UTA, did not even make their conference tournament.
