So mostly I'm trying to just get the board moving along again. BUT... This is a cool website I came across. There is a section where they review a large number of college ball fields.

DAD;
Thank you. https://www.stadiumjourney.com...rakami-stadium-s1117
U of Hawaii stadium has provided many memories. Coach Les was an outstanding Coach. The players "respected" his decisions.
"Smoke" knows the history of the Coach, the teams and "Rainbow" Stadium.

Interesting site DadBelly2023, thanks for sharing. I looked up what they had to say about my son's old college field....pretty accurate description based on when it was reviewed in 2015. The best part about it was its location. There was no mention of the future baseball site which is slightly off campus. There was mention of the top of parking garage which has a great view of the field, campus, and surrounding area. The top of the parking garage is also where you could find a handful of rowdy students and others enjoying a cold adult beverage. Parents were encouraged to join this rooting section of the ball field. That's the Bill Nye engineering building in center field. Off-camera to the right is the Gates building (glass exterior) which took on more than its share of foul balls. Its too bad they had to give up this property in the middle of campus for another building. I really liked Hoy Field. Lots of great memories.
Booth Field is the new Cornell baseball field where the Big Red have started playing homes games in 2023. I don't have pictures but I have the link and an artists rendition. It includes dedicated indoor batting cages and infield. Mr Booth ('82) is a great guy and very generous with his time and money. https://fcs.cornell.edu/projects/booth-baseball-field
Very cool that they include summer league stadiums.
Really disappointed that none of the Texas JuCo facilities made it... Going from the images below at Hill to Baum-Walker in Fayetteville was culture shock, but I love the grittiness of JuCo ball. A heaver version of myself is somewhere in the stands... And yes, that appears to be chalk coming out the cap of that bat - I believe that one left the yard. (Circa 2016 - I believe there have been facility improvement since then)
Last time we were there (Hill) the stands have a metal cover now, everything else looked the same.

One of the windiest and least favorite ballparks I have ever seen. On any given day anything (or nothing) will go out of that ballpark. As a college freshman I played CF on that field on a day so windy (at my back) that I was positioned on the IF dirt right behind 2B.
You can tell a guy did the reviews of Duane Banks at Iowa. The women's restroom has two stalls and they both leak. When my kid was doing USSSA and we were in a different parks around Des Moines every weekend I rated them strictly on bathrooms.

I sat through a doubleheader with 26 HR's in the two game set (against McLennan). Get it up in the air and it probably was leaving the park. After watching every weekend set and a good many weekday sets at Hill for two years, it has a big soft spot in my heart.

I understand having a sentimental attachment to a ballpark. There are a couple that are pretty special to me too.
