Being from South Florida, I find that pretty hilarious.

Son played in Mexico, you can't in your wildest dreams ever imagine what goes on.

I used to coach a team with three players from a small town in Mexico who would come North to play with us for ten or so tournaments a year. None spoke any English. One of the kids only knew two words of English and he would use them as he walked through the post-game handshake, smiling at each opposing player and saying "f*&# you," "f*&# you."

It's the universal language. My son played this summer with a Taiwanese kid who had no English up to now, but is going home with a detailed knowledge of anglo saxon colloquial terms.

Freshman year of college we had a Brazilian kid in our dorm. He was accepted the following year based on passing the college’s ESL program. He understood enough English to communicate slowly. We taught him all the words his instructors weren’t teaching him.
