Been a real long time since I've been to Wrigley. I've heard and read (might have even said myself), some negative stuff about the Cuub fan base.

I have to admit, I've been locked in on the tube watching the Cuubies the last few weeks. The shots of the fans during critical points of the game, seem to show them as very attentive and passionate regarding what is happening on the field.

Are these the real meal deal Cuub fans? Or is this a good touch by Arnie Harris.

You've got to love the "Arnie cam!"

I like the cubs but can't stand the majority of the fans. The only way I go to Wrigley is if I get free tickets. That field is nothing more than an oversized bar. I don't know what it is the fans get other than a tremendous alcohol buzz as they are leaving. The other night Soriano throws out a man at home. the next at bat he strikes out and the fans boo him. I don't think half of you know how to watch much less play the game.
If you just adopted the Cubs as your team and you were originally from Baltimore area; you are use to not playing in October.. Lou Pinella took the job with the Cubs because he wasn't required to work in October...
looks like he is in for a ride and a pay raise

Cub fans are great fans- especially during the Cardinal series....but...they always seem to get their hearts broken and the slogan of "Wait until Next Year" applies to the Cubs again
End of Season flop in 2005, and somehow turned it into a WS winner??? sure the Sox made things VERY interesting, but they did go 8-2 the last 10 games of the season, had 99 wins and won the division by 6 games...then only lost one game in 3 weeks of October baseball. Where is the flop. BTW flop means failure, and the Sox sure did not fail.
Well, I guess some things never change. People tend to make too big a deal out of things positively or negatively.

Cubs aren't chasing the sox of 05 in any way other than trying to copycat the champs of the last few years in the sense mediocre teams winning it all.

The last two seasons have proven that the sox winning in 05 was just the luck of the draw, not the product of design. Maybe the cubs can be so lucky this year.

In 05 the Sox were playing very poorly down the stretch. It took a couple big wins in their last showdown with Cleveland for them to get the momentum back. The pitchers were very good during the season, but got super hot in the 'offs. No one will ever see four back-to-back-to-back-to-back complete games again.

If the Cubs can get to the post, who knows. But they've got to win their division first. Brewers just beat the Braves, Cubs up only 1.5 games.

And don't forget, I think the WS Cards won only 83 games in the regular season last year. Again, another example of getting hot at the right time.

Heavy rain tonight in Cedar Rapids for the PG Kernels tournament this weekend. Its coming your way.

Gotta love beisbol.

I don't care about what's happened in the past,or who has led by X number of games with X number to play. IMO, the Brewers will win out, especially with a suddenly inept San Diego team wrapping up their season. The Cubs will have to win 4 of their next 6 games to clinch this thing. I hope I'm wrong but this isn't over yet. JMO.
