As as parent of a HS junior, I was wondering if soemone with some experience dealing with the recruiting process could give me an idea when is "signing day" for baseball? After seeing the publicity for the recent football signings, I was curious if there is a date when the colleges can start signing for baseball, although I realize it does not draw the same media coverage.

Thanks for the replies, guys. I had actually found the NCAA website info, but found it lacking in clarity for an amatuer like me. So does that mean siging days are during contact periods, or how does it work?
As I understand your post CPLZ, the earliest you can sign a NLI is mid-November of your senior year?
I've been told that the pattern is typically D-1 schools are first to start signing, then as time goes by players start signing with D-2, D-3 and Jucos? Please pardon my ignorance, but this is all new to me and I want to make sure I understand the process rather than going in blindly.
