First of all, get your facts straight....the guys had to run after the Tyler Lee game. Coach Payne has done a heck of a job this year in my opinion. Having the guys run after a game is not a problem where I come from. It should be done more than it is really. Coach Payne is trying to see what he can do with what he has. He's shuffled lineups around a few games trying to see which guys can play where. It's no different than anywhere else. He hasn't shown any favoritism anywhere as far as I'm concerned. The defense has been spotty for a while, and after making 8 or 9 errors in the district opener, I would have done the same with the guys as far as the running. Actually, I would have had them running until someone puked!! We did have a great game Friday night with no errors and I suspect there will be more of the same from here on out. Some people need to give it a rest on dogging Coach Payne. He'll figure it out and is figuring it out. My gosh, he's only 11-12 games into his head coaching career. Let's cut him a little slack guys.

I dont know who you are Watch and Listen but if you were to make a top 5 list of ways to tear a team apart ~ Parents not supporting the coaches would appear in the top 5. Disappointing to read from probably a Rockwall faithful. I hope it's not.

Interesting coincedence. On my sons summer team last year the coach tried to have a running program for conditioning purposes,not punishment. One parent also from Rockwall protested and protested loudly to anyone with a pair of ears!! Eventually divided the team and then quit. This sounds like that same parents m.o.

PD - We got our game in. Not my fault you didn't draw a "rain turtle" at your field.

I drew a rain turtle on our field last year and my DeSoto kids had never seen anything like it. They thought I was losing my mind!!!

I know the awe inspiring power of the rain turtle. I can remember a time or two in Abliene that it was used at Hunter Field.

I've also used it to actually BRING rain before an all day fall baseball game at Ranger JC. I dreaded going there because they always had about 1500 guys that could "pitch" and all of them needed to throw that day.

Sorry for being uneducated but is the rain turtle the same as a rain carrot? Players stand on edge and spit in the outline?

We could not grow carrots in Abilene or Lubbock so I can not speak to the rain carrot. The "Rain Turtle" is unique and much like Buda. You can not explain it, only experience it.

Humilate? Coach Lemons once had his players scrimmage at half time, skins on shirts, AT MADISON SQUARE GARDEN!!! Howard Cosell ended up getting involved and the rest is history. I think the humiliate ploy worked in his favor from time to time. God rest his soul.

Rockwall falls to Horn... 1-0... moseley and corbin both throw complete games. Rockwall threw up a 0 in the E column but they didn't even threaten to score a run.

Mesquite over North Mesquite,6-2..prety good game.skeeters still makin a few to many errors...Bolding pitches complete game for skeeters..

Waxahachie beats Poteet by 1. I think it was 3-2.
Arrieta started for Poteet. Nowell comes in late and he gets the loss. Colton Cain started for Wax. but did not finish.
