Never have seen anything like that in a college game and I have seen a lot of games all over the country including in Texas.

Sorry but that's just plane evil and hope that the player got the boot (Texan style) off the team!

This happened in our conference (Region 5). Both teams received a forfeit for the unfinished game and also the next game of the doubleheader (which wasn’t played). The first game Saturday between the same 2 teams will be declared a forfeit also. Each team will receive losses in the standings for those 3 games. The result of all this cripples Weatherford’s chances of qualifying for post season play. So the kid really hurt his team by his actions. As for what happens to him individually, most think he will be kicked off the team. Also in question is his scholarship to the University of Houston next year. This is the second such incident this year with the other team (NCTC) who is the worst bunch of trash talkers I have ever heard in my life. Not sure what their fate will be. Everybody loses in a deal like this. I have never seen anything like it either.

NTJCAC – Region 5 D1 Juco
McLennan, Grayson, Ranger, Weatherford, Temple, Cisco, Hill, Vernon and North Central Texas

I watched 2 years of this group and never saw anything like that, not even close...

I did witness a double header facing McLennan with the wind blowing out at the cracker box field at Hill. 26 HR's were hit in 16 innings of baseball (9/7 format). We had epic bat flips, unique taunting HR trots, non stop insults hurled from both dugouts, a couple dugout clearings with no physical contact and coaches screaming at umpires for losing control of the game. I wanted to be appalled, but all those boys were having such a blast and ended up partying together that evening since the facilities are about 30 minutes apart.

The kid in the video needs to be suspended along with some counseling.

I’m not a fan of the bat flip. I’m not a fan of showing up your opponent in any way. All that behavior has gone too far IMO and the result is an incident like what happened today.

I'm not a fan either, I also don't like crooked caps but it's not my game anymore. It's pretty clear that the younger fans like more flair and passion - I feel that we're the past, they're the present and who knows what the future will bring - hopefully more growth in the sport...

The money thing has to be part of it, as a parent, since the parent is paying and we know none of this is cheap..........This seems to be a common thread. somehow people equate spending money on their son or daughter as a formula for success. but the real sad thing is that being removed from coaching for 20 plus years all I hear and read is money for travel team money for private instruction showcases( I still do not understand that one)  but it seems in order to play you have to pay. And it is all year high school ( raise money) Summer travel more money Fall leagues more money Winter indoor workouts and instruction. I will be honest I go to games and see things that make my head spin. Basic fundamental baseball stuff.
