It's Official! I am certifiably old and out of touch ... and darn glad of it. As the ladies and the youths surfed through the New Year's shows, and listened to the Hip-Hop stuff that sounded to me like a bad sound check, I resigned myself with comfort that I am out of touch.
I grew up seeing Elton John, Billy Joel, Earth Wind & fire and the Eagles in their hay-day. In college it became Lynard Skynard, Charlie Daniels, Marshall Tucker and Aerosmith. Now there are some performers.
For my money, today's Pop and Hip-Hop acts don't measure up. SP_son and I will stick with our southern rock.
Want to see a show that measures up with the all time greats, go see Montgomery Gentry perform. We just saw them again at the American Freedom Festival ... a terrific show.
And some great walk-out songs for Pitchers
