I run a 17/18 yr old team. My main concern is for my 07's on the 17/18 team. We have been to a couple of showcase tournaments, including the Northeast BCS and Blue Chip Prospects so far. Would you recommend e-mailing various local colleges asking them if they would be interested in obtaining our schedule for the remainder of the summer season? Any other suggestions? Because it feels like we aren't really getting the exposure we need. It feels like more could be done for them. I am kind of new to this level and have learned so much from this site that has really helped me so far, so any and all of your suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Not a bad idea, maybe include a roster of players on the team.

Another thought is to send a letter, e-mail, or even make a phone call to schools letting them know that you will be holding a "Team Showcase". This might be a 2-3 hour event which includes a 60, infield, outfield, pitching/hitting segments, and maybe a controlled scrimmage. Not only will it give local schools the opportunity to see players in a more private setting it can also be benificial for younger players to become familiar to a showcase format. Besides, even if you do not get many schools to show up, a practice is a practice, and players may find a change in the practice format refreshing and a challenge.
