Friday/Saturday Scrimmages

Any interesting early season scrimmages this weekend?

I was surprised at how well the hitting was in the scrimmages I watched this week. Normally, this time of year, the pitching is ahead of the hitting, but there was some pretty good hitting going on @ HP on Tuesday night.

Does anyone know the name of the catcher @ Creekview? I saw him make some awesome throws. He's got a cannon. Big kid, too.

C- My team definately has a catcher and a back-up. Both could be starters on most teams (IMO of course). I guess I took note of him last year when I pitched against them and he hit me better than anyone else (I don't think I got him out that day, of course he only had 3 at-bats due to rain). I've never seen him around though on summer teams (or I have and haven't put 2-and-2 together).

I had the opportunity to see Preston at the PG 2006 Top Prospect at Baylor. He hit two HR's in batting practice and they were some shot's and that was with wood bat's. I can imagine what he does with the metal bat's.

He has some tremendous pop in his swing. Can't wait to see what he does this year!

U E- We played well, our defense and pitching have been our best so far this year. I think (I left early for SAT practice... please don't kill me Frown ) that the score was about 6-2 against TCA. We hadn't given up a run until our catcher MS came in and pitched. A questionable call led to the runs. BUT, it's a scrimmage, too early to start worrying about calls. Our hitting was decent, struggled at times. The cold affected both teams (what is with this weather, 70 tomorrow, 30s Wednesday). Little Elm is coming up Tuesday, and Rowlett Saturday (who is also in our bracket for the Flo-Mo Tournament).

Oh, and for any nerd who cares, we're 2-0 technically in scrimmages now.

Can you tell me where you found the Flower Mound Bracket?
