I figured I'd post this in here.

I'm currently a junior in high school. I'm just here to give some advice to some of the posters younger than myself.

I can't stress enough how important it is to do things right from a young age. Fundamentals. When you go to an instructor and they tell you to do something a certain way, that is what you should do. While it may not be comfortable and even if you aren't going to play as well at the beginning, doing something that you aren't used to...it's important that you bite the bullet and learn to do things right from the beginning. Hopefully I'm making sense.

Before High School, unlike what I used to do...you should not care about your stats. You should just care about helping your team win and improving as a ballplayer. Do things the right way and it will pay off when you get older and the right thing seems natural.
