My family and I are going to Fenway in August. I was there once 15 yrs ago and we were able to get standing room tickets on the day of the game. Do they still release tickets the day of? If you get bleacher seats are you able to walk around the whole stadium or do they restrict where you can go? Any words of advice? thanks

they advertise that they are sold out every game. you can buy from a scalper out front or online from a broker. you never could get from the bleachers to the grandstand, but i haven't sat in the bleachers since 86 ws. do some online looking and call some of the brokers. every now and then you get lucky and find a decent price. how many tickets? what are the dates? maybe i could help?
The ticket agencies are expensive but at least you know you'll have seats. depending on who they're playing, there may be quite a few tickets available outside for better prices. just about everyone i know who goes without tickets ends up finding them outside for decent prices. i wouldn't risk this if you need more than two seats together, however. I've never had bleacher seats, but i've walked back to the picnic area under the bleachers and back and nobody checked my ticket. however, you will not be able to get up into the seating areas outside of the bleachers.
My last 2 times there I spoke to the ticket office and they had nothing, so they told me to go outside and get them. The guys outside were not legit scalpers, I thnk they work for the organization as the prices were the same as posted. I thought it was comical. We bought 3 outside 3 hours before gametime. Bleacher tix, but my wife's cousin, who lives there, dragged us to the 1st base side and kept going to the gates, then told to go to the bleachers, until one young man just let us thru. We sat near the dugout until those folks came, then we stood above the dugout in standing room with about 1000 other folks. Still only about 75 feet from the field. Game was Toronto and other game was Baltimore. I seen well over 100 games there, but since the late 80's, just 2 and its rediculously expensive. Its still a must see, and the energy in the park is undescribable. I do think the best deals are outside a few hours before gametime, but if its a big opponent, it will probably cost 5 times as much. Good luck, it will be an experience to remember.
Thanks everyone for your response. Sorry I did'nt answer sooner we had phone problems and I could'nt get on the internet. We plan on going to one of the games against the Angels on a weekend so I imagine it will be a little tougher to get tickets. There will probably be 4 of us going but I'll probably just get 2 pairs and move to an open spot if we can. Does anybody know how many hours before the game they release gameday tickets? Are you able to go to the bleachers for BP if you have grandstand seats?
