Many laugh at us in the Northeast but on a day like today how can you---got to see the Yankee massacre---we had NBA basketball this afternoon on the tube as well and it is still going on--also NESN, the network that carries the Bruins (hockey) and the Red Sox made sure we had both game on the air tonight--and we have MLBTV 24/7---and my wife still loves me as well-- at least I am in the house enjoying my addiction---sports

Boy am I am having fun-------

Mass Pike, Callaway & Williams tunnels leaving Logan airport, NY State Thruway, every bridge & tunnel into, out of, even through NYC, NJ Turnpike, Garden State Thruway, PA turnpike, Maine Turnpike, I-93 in NH. I can't name any toll roads in RI. CT has no toll roads, but CT has some of the highest gasoline taxes in US to replace the tolls they used to collect on I-95.

Wow! Talk about paranoia.

I can honestly say I don't spend one minute of one day thinking about my opinion of people in the NE...nor do I have any need to re-evaluate our certain superiority out here on the West Coast! Big Grin

KIDS TODAY THROW TOO MUCH!

TR - I will debate you in earnest on your signature line.

You run travel teams. You run showcases. You post on here more than any other poster (in history?). Because of that fact, some people will listen to you...so I suggest you be careful what you say and how you say it.

A simple statement (shouted with caps), "THE KIDS TODAY DO NOT THROW ENOUGH !!!!!"...without further explanation is bad advice IMO. Travel teams/HS's/LL's OVERUSE pitchers. That is not an accusation towards you...I really don't know. But it is true when it comes to many others.

Stated as simply as you did, ALL IN CAPS, with every post and without further explanation...is not good advice.

Have a good summer yourself! Wink

Do you understand the difference between throwing too much and pitching too much? I'm in agreement with TR. Kids don't throw enough. Throwing develops arm strength. Throwing a lot used to develop arm strength where MLB pitchers pitched 275-325 innings per season and not hurt their arms. To be called a seven inning pitcher was an insult to the pitcher.

My son throws a lot for ten months of the year. He's about to turn sixteen. He's never had a day with as much as a stiff arm. What my son does not do is pitch too much.

If I were betting, I would bet justbb knows the difference. He has a son pitching in Milb who has never had arm trouble to my knowledge.
Has a high school sophomore pitching on a nationally ranked team...doing fine thank you.
I think he "understands."

I can't keep track of who everyone's kid is. His response was either playing dumb or lending itself to not knowing. My response was because he referenced pitching too much when I knew TR was talking about throwing, not pitching.

So far, so good. Hopefully, he is an exception to the rule. From what I've seen, most 15 and under have not had an arm / shoulder issue. Most 20 year olds have had arm issues at some point.

Sometimes you amaze me---I post about how great it was with all the games and sport coverage and you turn it into TRHIT knows nothing by attacking my signature

By the way do you know the difference between throwing and pitching---we used to throw(play catch) everyday

Have a great day---by the way we have the same coverage again today and all week as the hockey playoffs go on

Enjoy it. I'll try and find somethin' on the tube out here in the wild west if I can. If not, there's always the 85 deg., sunshine and a baseball game somewhere...oh, the monotony of it all! Big Grin

I don't know about anyone else, but here in the southeast we got the same yankee game. Roll Eyes We also got the Marlins game, Tampa game, hockey, nascar, NBA,college baseball, spring football, golf, fishing, poker, etc, etc. That was just what was on TV.
If you ae lucky you can in person hit a hockey game, baseball and basketball game all in the same day. You can even hit up on a college baseball game or basketball game at the same school, same day.
Perhaps you might not be in the sports mood, so yesterday there was the annual Delray Fest that draws thousands, art, food, fun. We live a boring life here in the southeast.

We pay tolls for some roads, 6% sales tax and no state income tax, this is a good place to be too.

We don't make fun of anyone who lives in the NE, unless they are snowbirds. Big Grin

However, like spiz, we must be missing out, no tunnels here either. Wink
