It may be the 4th year for this site, but I started coming in 1999, or 2000 when mine was a soph in HS and it was already established.
Must be the 4th at this site. I joined up on Jan 15, 2003 @ 904 AM--during a snowstorm. Still have the email saved with my password information.
Well, it IS about 4 years since the reincarnation of the site here on this server, with a new hosting service. But our founder Bob Howdeshell started the HS Baseball Web on Valentine's Day, 1999 and moved it after suffering some downtime with the old host.
So we will be 8 years old this coming February 14 - Thank you, Bob! (How old is that in pitcher's parents years?)

P.S. I think I was off by one year - actually I think Bob launched the site in Feb. 1998, so that would make us 9 years old in 2007! Wow!

Valentine's Day.... interesting history and a cool date to start something you and so many people care deeply about. As always, we all remain appreciative of Bob and his efforts as well as yours Julie for continuing our favorite place!
Thanks for the clarification Julie.I saw Dec. 22,2002 in the member directary for Bob;then a lot of old-timers quickly followed in the next few days & assumed...I didn't even know what the internet was in 1999.My son joined a team from out of town a few years ago and that was how they communicated so I had to learn.I really enjoy looking up baseball stuff & this site is the BEST.hunt & peckin out of here,Hank
