It would be a shame if HR were fired based on an allegation alone. Sexual harassment is NOT terribly well defined in the law, and there are all sorts of people who see it where it isn't, or who make up things that didn't happen for untoward reasons. This is an area where untrue charges are rife. For a guy like HR, who is perhaps perceived as well to do and in the public eye, he is definitely a target for someone who wants to abuse the legal system for blackmail.

So, I choose not to believe it until either HR admits it, or it's proved. If and when we get to that point, throw the book at him, but to hang him out to dry because of an allegation in this area is PC run amok.
