The issue isn't toe/heel as much as it is sit. Lower the COG. Maintain the load.

Some land on the toe, some land flat footed. Others don't have to land.

Martini, make up your mind and stick with what you say...Talk about dishonest...

Now, you said MLB hitters stride to the toe, then do all these miraculous things, then swing, on offspeed pitches...Well, show me a clip of Bonds putting his front toe down, then waiting to swing....

Giambi puts the front toe down, then swings, on all pitches, fastballs included......He, also, leaves more weight on his backside than does Bonds.....Video proves this.....

Another thing video proves is that MLB hitters sit and lower COG on all pitches, including fastballs.......

Conclusion is that Bonds has a much more efficient swing than does Giambi.....Giambi has slack in his swing....Bonds doesn't because he does not do what you say MLB hitters do.....Plain and simple.....

Well I faced him for the first time last wed and it was exciting. There were a good amount of coached and scouts there (Not to mention local TV Stations) because he just signed with TCU. Thats pretty big where im from because I live in the North East. I only had one at bat. he pitched two innings and had 4 K's and 2 ground outs. I hit a groundball up the middle (On the barrel) but he jumped and saved a RBI and a single. It was not as intimidating as I thought, and now what I realized that I can progress a lot more with my hitting.

Thanks for all your help
Thanks Donny, but it didn't go too well. The kid pitched 4 innings and struck out every batter except the one he walked. Frown

Kevin later said he couldn't even see it. And he threw him a nasty curve that Kevin ducked out from, only to have it break over the plate.

Tough stuff. The kid was about 5'10-5'11 and was BRINGING it. Tall task for a 4'11" 100 lb'er. Smile
