There are plenty of examples of big guys that can play and there are plenty of examples of smaller guys that can play. It will always come down to "Can you play the game"?
I am 5'11 @ 150. we have 2 kids who are 6 + and solid (185 +) and a kid who is 6'4 at 180.

Good 4 U! That is awesome!
Believe it or not I actually heard of a boy who was exactly 5'10 1/2" be listed at 6'0" tall as a freshman on a D1 team this year. I couldn't believe it. I actually was with the boy at a showcase when they made him take off his shoes to measure him with an electronic height measuring device and he was exactly 5'10 1/2" and when I saw the college roster, he was suddenly 6'0". His dad told me they fudged the number on purpose because "everybody does it". I bit my tounge. Is this commonplace? I don't think it's commonplace to have a 5'10 1/2" player be listed at 6'0" tall....that seems a bit much. I was astounded. The dad told me that the boy stopped growing cold when he was a sophomore in high school so what they would do is just add 1/2 inch every year and have continued to do that every year. That way it's more subtle and no one notices. (except me)
There are a bunch of kids on Bum, Jr's high school team that are bigger. None better. Don't let size be an excuse.
